Embracing Emotions: The Key to Authentic Living

Feelings aren’t facts. Perspectives change, sometimes daily.

I’ve learned a lot about emotions lately, and I’d like to share my thoughts today.

It’s important to allow yourself to embrace and experience your and others’ emotions without letting them dictate your next steps.

Sounds easy.

Basic.

Like, common sense?

As you know, it is easier said than done.

Emotions were not something I ever wanted to feel! They felt out of control. Chaotic. Uneasy. Unexpected and not wanted.

But,

I’ve learned you aren’t living if you aren’t feeling.

If we are numb, what is the point?

How does someone know what they are passionate about without feeling.

They don’t.

Emotions are important.

They tell us what makes us feel good, sad, angry, happy, excited, loved, frustrated, etc.

They serve as a guide, and everyone is on a different path.

Emotions should be embraced; they don’t need to lead the way, though!

We can combine emotions with logic.
The Feminine with the Masculine to determine our next steps as a whole, human. We have a path.
It takes living to learn, even being guided by a higher power.
Learning from people allowed me not to have to do it all, to know it all!
We can all benefit from shared knowledge and living through each other’s experiences.

People change on their own time, with their own experiences, and their perspective shifts.
Let them take what they need, in terms of learning from you and leave the rest.
Through guiding others by being an example through our dedication, craft, experiences,
and beliefs, we can find our purpose.

If we are living our purpose, what does it matter what other people think?

Some people have a knowing that guides them from the beginning.

Others are led on a certain path through different experiences and choices.

I am the second one, using my experiences, purpose and perspectives to share what I know.

What about you?
